I can understand if the guy was in his 30, but for a 72 year old man to kill himself, this is ridiculous, I know there are a lot of gullible people out there, but I’m not one of them.

Well, 72 year old men do commit suicide, Richie. As sad as that may seem. Depression is depression and it can effect anyone at any age. However, if you take a look at my later post, you’ll see that it looks like David Carradine’s death may well have been accidental. I certainly prefer this (even though it’s still disturbing) to the idea that he was so depressed and despondent that he might have felt suicide was the only way out. But understand that depression is a disease not a mood. And suicide is not something reserved only for the young.

    In fact, according to Reuters:

‘Men were nearly 4.8 times as likely to commit suicide as women,’ the researcher writes in the March 15th issue of the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health. Whites were at greater risk of suicide than African Americans, and individuals with household incomes between $5,000 and $9,999 were more likely to commit suicide than others. Suicide rates were also higher in older age groups, especially those aged 65 and older, and in residents of Western states.
