Actor Harve Presnell Dies at 75

Harve PresnellMany of you may not know Harve Presnell by name, but you certainly know him by face and the dozens of familiar roles you’ve seen him in. From numerous guest starring roles on just about every TV show imaginable from his first role on ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS through RYAN’S HOPE, LOIS AND CLARK, FRASIER, DAWSON’S CREEK, STAR TREK: VOYAGER, and his final TV appearance earlier this year on COLD CASE. And so many incredibly memorable film roles like William H. Macy’s father in FARGO and General George Marshall in SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, through FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS, EVAN ALMIGHTY, FACE/OFF, THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, PAINT YOUR WAGON, and his first film role in THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN… The list seemed near endless. Like so many others we’ve lost of late, his presence will be missed.

Presnell died after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 75.
