Keith Olbermann Calls Out Joe “Wrong-Way” Wilson

MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann’s commentaries are usually quite emotionally charged, usually very entertaining, always a little funny (in a dark sort of way), and, more times than not, right on the money and full of important facts beneath the “performance” and style of its presentation.

And Olbermann strikes again in his Special Commentary on Joe Wilson’s Congressional outburst. And while Wilson’s emotional outburst turned out to be, well, wrong, Olbermann’s is full of detailed truths.

Thanks for commenting Splash. I will say, however, that I am now and will always be amazed at how people can fight so hard against what will actually help them. When I see folks like you insisting that Obama’s a liar and believing that it’s alright to call the Commander in Chief a liar and claiming that is no worse than booing, I am consistently horrified by the level of disdain and sheer ignorance that it takes to not see that you now have a president who is busting his ass to bring this nation together and take care of its people. Is he a saint? No! I’ve never met a saint. Don’t believe they exist. Is he a decent man trying to turn a country around after its been steered into a very dark and dangerous place? Yes. Our Democratic/Capitalist society is a pretty good one. And it has its pitfalls and requires constant attention. We let it go astray for many years and we are in danger of losing the very things that made this nation great. To watch people fight so hard to self-destruct is both terrifying and fascinating.

I appreciate the thoughtful reply. Usually Liberals (which I cnnot say that you are) simply resort to the wasy they protest, calling me names – like liar. And although you did infer that I was ignorant, I have to say that that is somewhat typical. I could say that, for example, that “I am consistently horrified by the level of disdain and sheer ignorance that it takes to not see that you now have a grass root movement of people who are busting their ass to keep this nation from further spending itself into oblivion at a rate more than triple a Commander in Chief Democrats held in disdain and called a liar on just as regular a basis, if not more.

The arrogance of Democrats that anyone owes any president respect, especially after the last eight years of absolute defamation and libel (not that some of it wasn’t true) is both terrifying and fascinating.

Thanks for not taking the “come unglued” approach I normally get for exercising my Constitutional right to objectto The Big O’s march towards socialism under the guise of attempting “to bring this nation together and take care of its people.” That is the goal. That is what I protest ad that is what Joe, The Freshman was protesting. You call it disrespect, I call it American. Much worse has occurred on the House floor in our 200+ years. Much worse.
