How Dare We? How One Life Effects Us All: Understanding the Toll of Each and Every Death, 13,000 Children and Counting…

Let’s make sure we understand the individual human lives we are taking by the tens of thousands and possibly millions. Each life, every child, every family member, every future we annihilate and erase is the utter destruction of hopes, dreams, love, growth, possibility, and individuality that can never be replaced – not now and not in the future. The entirety of the human race is diminished and suffers from each individual loss which ripples out in thousands of different directions forever altering the future of millions if not the entire population of the Earth. One such life was Amr Abdallah, a 17-year old boy who was killed by Israel on the first Friday of Ramadan. Below is a link to Chris Hedges encapsulation of Amr’s life and death.

There are those who will have little or no problem voting for Joe Biden come November. Whether out of fear of Trump, a lack of empathy, numbness, indifference, or denial. I can not be one of them. I could not wake up the next morning and live with myself. Everything I am, everything I want to be, and everything I believe would be extinguished in that vote. I would cease to be Hal. I would be something other.

If the fear of Trump is enough for American voters to not only sell their souls, but the souls of others, then so be it. I cannot and will not support such actions, regardless of excuse or reasoning. If people choose to believe, as Hillary Clinton so callously and arrogantly exclaimed to concerned voters the other night regarding Biden and Trump, “Get over yourself. Those are the two choices,” then we are most certainly doomed.

First of all, Clinton’s proclamation is simply and factually untrue. There are third party candidates (Jill Stein, Cornel West), write-in candidates, and even other Democratic Party candidates. To shame people into believing their backs are against a wall and that they have no democracy, no choice, no options, is an atrocity in and of itself. But this shouldn’t be surprising coming from Hillary Clinton who has callously disregarded human life and shown utter disdain for the Democratic process throughout her career. If she is the model for who and what we are, then we deserve to perish and the world will be a better place without all of us.

Clinton continued: “One is old and effective and compassionate, has a heart, and really cares about people, and one is old and has been charged with 91 felonies.”

To paint a picture of Joe Biden as compassionate and as having a heart and as caring about people while he is directly responsible for the ongoing suffering, murder, and attempted genocide of tens of thousands and possibly millions – not to mention his decades-long legacy of war crimes, corruption, criminal activities, and his attempted decimation of people of color via mass-incarceration and demonisation – is something that could only be said by someone who, herself, has never felt any of those things.

This from the woman who cold-heartedly stated regarding the death of Muammar Gaddafi who was sodomised with a bayonet before being killed by a mob, “We came, we saw, he died.” Clinton left Libya and its people in shambles; from the most prosperous country in Africa, to a hell on earth where women and children are sold daily in open slave markets.

Hillary had the audacity in the 1990’s to stand beside Joe Biden and tell the world that young black children would grow up to become “super predators” and needed to be brought to heel. Her overt racism helped usher in Biden’s crime bill which more than doubled the prison population in the United States making it the world’s foremost penal system and housing a larger percentage of people of color than South Africa did at the heart of Apartheid.

It is essential that we understand who these people are and their vast and telling histories and complicities. I urge you to watch the 2-minute video below. Understand the mentality, the racism, the dehumanisation necessary to say these words, to paint this picture, and then to put it into legal action.

Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton have not changed their tactics or their fear-mongering. They continue to this very moment in time to not only be complicit in, but to impel systemic and legal changes and engage in racist propaganda and violence that openly and aggressively dehumanises boundless “others” and sentences them to either death or immeasurable and unspeakable amounts of human suffering.

“They are the kinds of kids that are often called super predators: no conscience, no empathy… We have to bring them to heel.” – Hillary Clinton

“Unless we do something about that cadre of young people – tens of thousands of them… without any conscience developing… because they literally have not been socialised… We should focus on them now – not out of a liberal instinct for love, brother, and humanity… but for simple, pragmatic reasons… We have predators on our streets.” – Joe Biden

Predators, indeed… Biden and Clinton may as well have been describing themselves.

Two days ago, according to CNN:

“The Biden administration is close to approving the sale of as many as 50 American-made F-15 fighter jets to Israel, in a deal expected to be worth more than $18 billion… The transaction, which would amount to the largest US foreign military sale to Israel since the country went to war with Hamas on October 7, comes as the administration is also expected to notify Congress soon of a large new sale of precision-guided munitions kits to Israel.”

This takes place on the heels of the Washington Post reporting that just last week “the [Biden] administration has “quietly” authorized arms shipments including more than 1,800 MK84 2,000-pound bombs and 500 MK82 500-pound bombs, as well as 25 F-35A fighter jets and engines worth approximately $2.5 billion.”

This is Biden’s response to the United Nations’ Security Council resolution demanding ‘an immediate ceasefire’ in Gaza, as well as the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) ruling ordering “immediate and effective measures” to protect Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip from the risk of genocide.

These are not the best of us. These are the worst of us. To stand with them, to support them, to vote for them, to normalise them, to believe that we have no choice in fighting and rejecting them… These are the actions of a failed nation and a failed people.

Try telling Amr Abdallah’s family about Joe Biden’s compassion, his caring, and his great heart. Or Hillary Clinton’s.

How dare we? If we can’t reject and oppose this with direct action – even action as simple as not voting for someone and/or not voting for a mindset that not only tolerates this, but ensures, normalises, and even insists that this is the only choice – then we have lost everything and anything that could possibly be called civilised or compassionate or worthy of being on this earth. We certainly could never be a country worth maintaining, fighting for, or believing in. We will be nothing more than a cancer afflicting the furtherance and worth of mankind itself.
